its all bs.
i dont like the alternate version that much. we didnt have our pick for the next single. hips dont lie was released las minute. oral fixation v2 is getting rereleased. promotion is going on for 2 cds at the same time, ofv2 is getting more attention. its all confusing...
hips dont lie and the alternate version of la tortura (not the spanglish one) sound liek they were pooorly mastered.
i think shakira's spreading herself too thin...maybe the idea to release 2 albums in 1 year wasnt so much of a good idea.
i can only image how stressed she must be.

Mariah Carey had just a 13 track album and it was the album of the year, with the best sales this and that, and she is not even a full Songwritter and doesn't even produce her own music, but that's just how the industry works, her manager really did a good job telling her what to do and what not to do. A lot of people didn't even know the girl in La Tortura, was the same girl in WW or even UYC, even my friend thought Jessica Simpson sang UYC. Now it's really lame to release OF2 again with just a track of enjoyment for some, but, however it's a chance for the CD to get more sales, that's what she wants right? More sales, well she will have a couple of more sales when that song is included in OF2, some people will buy it just for HDL, LT is also a great track, but I don't think it is such a good idea to include it in the all English Album, that's why she realeased 2 albums. Anyhow FO1 is the forgotten album now, all her attention is on OF2 for the moment, We can't really do anything, we have to take our own decition, either we are with her, or not at all. #corre# |

i agree and yeah im totally with her and behind whatever she decides to do but i hope sahe makes more logical decisions next time on the next album if there is a next album.
ps. *off topic* i heard she was "working on new material" whats this all about?

exactly, lie a dualdisc with all the videos and make include some OFFICIAL remixes. and i agree , hips dont lie shoulkd NOT have been released, beause its not an original song, its a remake... and yeah...

I dont understand, some of you one day love hips dont lie and the second day you hate it, one day HDL is one of Shakira's best videos and the next day you dont like it, one day everyones has a hips dont lie banner and they're like "OMG I LOVE THE SONG" and then "OH ITS TERRIBLE" Make up your mind, you confuse yourself and others, It may be a a cover but its a great song, why Hips dont lie being a cover song is so bad now? When she sang Dude looks like a lady it was a cover too and nobody said nothing bad, is it because she released HDL and not Dude looks like a lady? Is it because she released it that is cheap? i rather have a cd version of a song i like than the ripped from tv version of it like Dude looks like a lady, If she didnt release the song and just sing it once somewhere we would be like "WHOOAA.. why didnt she release that song?" Just make up your mind and dont say you like her and then hate her, its one or the other  |

people's opinions change constantly (i used to love ww, but nowadays i hate it and maybe someday i will loved it again). maybe some of us has listened too much of it (trust me some songs are like that, you listen them too much or you hear them too much and then they start to annoy you) so it has started to annoy them, or like me has listened it once or twice and decided that's it.
the difference between hdl and dllal is that shakira brought something different to dllal. imho she didn't brought nothing
imho hdl has absolutely nothing, i have never liked it and maybe i won't never liked it . the only positive side what i can think is that the video is nice (but it's not shakira's best one thought).
maybe i'm bitter of the fact that she canceled nrj awards in finland just to record this song.
I HAVE RIGHT TO CRITIZISE SHAKIRA. I DON'T WANNA BE A FAN, WHO IS LIKE SHEEP, WHICH FOLLOWS AND SUPPORTS SHAKIRA EVERYTHING SHE HAS DONE OR WILL EVER DO.

of course you may critizise her and you don't have to like al the thing she does, but don't you like HDL because it's a cover or is it just that you don't like it (  well i sure you get my point #LMAO2# ) I do like it, but I would prefer a song that was written by Shak herself |
