Shakira has arrived to Zaragoza to rehearse for the tour.
After checking out some villas in Zuera, la Muela and Las Lomas she decided to check-in to the hotel. She is still looking for a house which would accomodate her and her closest circle of helpers (bodyguards, managers, tour directors etc). She has been checked in the hotel under the false name. Last night she spent in one villa but the house doesn't meet all the requirements so it's expected that she will keep looking for a new house there.
Big part of her crew is staying at the hotel Boston but also her people are popping up in various other hotels of Zaragoza.
Her manager has discussed her schedule with Expo 2008 organizers - Shakira is expected to show up at some of the Expo events or objects to help the promo of the event. At some point she will visit City/Region government, some of the Expo area in Meandro de Ranillas and also it is expected that she will do something related to her foundation or the latinamerican community in Zaragoza. Also one press conference is expected to take place. Today more details of her schedule should be revealed.
In the pavilion #4 stage construction workers have been building a stage for the rehearsals. Whole stage will be new and specially built and also whole equipment is brought in from "outside". Sound technicians are currently installing audio systems, some of the specialists have been brought from UK. Stage must be ready thursday-friday.
Shakira is using the time to rehearse her voice and finish the choreography.
Shakira has been pretty much invisible so far. She hasn't been seen walking on the streets or dining in restaurants. She has been using a car with darkened windows, sunglasses etc. - so people havent either seen her or recognized her.
She has visited the place where the rehearsals will take place. The stage has been positioned similarly to the R.E.M stage during their last concert there.
Shakira visited the rehearsal place on Monday and tried to rehearse the choreography on the stand-by stage specially built for her until the big stage will be ready and she was not satisfied with the surface of the stage. It was too risky - slippery.
For the concert 8000 tickets have been sold. Since the concert was moved to the other place, those who dont agree with the new locations can sell their tickets back. It is expected that 12 000 tickets will be sold though.
